Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a legal, evidence-based option for those who are looking for more help with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other issues where they are feeling “stuck.”  Ketamine is a drug that has been used for decades.  In recent years, it’s been found to provide a short-lived and safe but potentially powerful “break from the obsessions of your mind.”  This experience may give you the chance to work through some of the personal issues that are holding you back.  Your mind and body do the work during the treatment, then you get to process the experience with me.  A series of 6 therapeutic sessions is recommended.   At this time, we are doing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for couples only, in the Salt Lake City area.

A medical screening and intake are required to ensure this is safe and appropriate for you both.  The screening can be done virtually with our clinical partner.  You will also need to meet with them and me for the first ketamine infusion to establish the dose that will work best for you.

Then, the series of 6 therapeutic sessions, held in a beautiful and welcoming space, will include:

  • The setting of intentions

  • Guided breathwork and meditation to help you be in the right mind-set and be present in your body

  • Other tools and information to help support you as you work to become more aware, including journaling, nutrition, exercise, and sleep

  • Weighted blankets, eye masks, sound-canceling headphones and curated acoustic music to provide the best experience

  • An assisted psychedelic experience with me and other trained professionals to guide you through your personal journey with the medicine

  • A chance to reflect and integrate the experience and gently ease out of the session before having to return to the rigors of your day

Each KAP session is approximately 2.5 hours long.   A 1 hour clinical therapy session with me after sessions 3 and 5 are recommended.  The overall schedule would look like this:
